Data and Statistics Officer

Department Profile
The Data and Statistics Department is responsible for the central management and continuous improvement of the financial and economic data used and published by the CBCS. The department collects, processes, and presents monetary, financial, external sector, real sector, and government statistics for internal and external use.
Responsibilities
As a Data and Statistics Officer, you will carry out responsibilities that demand professional knowledge of statistics, including assessing the quality of the collected data, performing statistical analyses, translating information needs in the development of new statistics, and presenting data in clear tables and diagrams for policy and publication purposes. You will apply your technical knowledge and skills in making meaningful data discoveries to produce financial and economic insights and promote innovation.
Education and Work Experience
Advanced university degree (Master’s degree) in economics, econometrics, statistics, or related area.
At least 1 year of experience conducting statistical analysis, using automated information systems, or related duties.
Proficiency with MS Office.
Fluency in English in writing and speaking.
Skills
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and handle multiple deadlines.
Strong analytical skills to make data discoveries and solve data problems.
Agility to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and promote innovation.
